In the first three days, you can get acclimated to the high altitude in Lhasa City while visiting Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and other famous attractions. And then you’ll ride from Lhasa to Yamdrok Tso Lake via Kamba La Pass. Along the Friendship Highway, you’ll climb the high Karo La Pass and visit the Gyantse Dzong, Gyantse Kumbum and Tashilhunpo Monastery. Riding over Gyatso-La, you’ll rewarded with the first view of Mount Everest.Then the riding becomes a little bit tougher, but it’s worth your effort. You’ll view the world’s breathtaking peaks at Gawula Pass, including Makalu (8463m), Shishapangma (8012m), Cho Oyu (8210m), Lhotse (8516m), Everest (8850m), etc. Passing through Rongbuk Valley, you’ll finally reach the destination - Everest Base Camp. After that, we’ll escort you back to Lhasa from Everest Base Camp by car and the biking tour ends. These treks typically require you to do 6-7 hours each day over steep hilly terrain on usually rough trails but with no real extremes of weather. Treks in this category can include trekking to elevations of up to 5500m with daily ascends of around 400-700m.When trekking at higher altitudes, your body needs to adjust to lower levels of oxygen and this provides added physical challenge to the trek. It is important to be physically fit and to prepare your body by doing regular exercise prior to embarking on your trek. Previous hiking or camping experience is preferable.
