Our field staff are professionals in what they do and our shared goal is to provide you with a once in a lifetime package that will surpass your expectations. However, at times, due to matters and events outside of our control, changes are required to the stated itinerary that you booked. In such cases as unexpected natural phenomena (landslides, floods, road blockages, heavy snowfall), political unrest, changes in government restrictions, sickness or accident, cancellation of flights and / or delays due to poor weather, it must be noted that any additional costs arising from such events shall be borne by the clients at the time of the expense. In a majority of cases, it is possible to apply for reimbursement of receipts via your travel insurance provider. It is essential that you read your insurance policy carefully and check the inclusions / exclusions for travel delays. It is always advisable to allow extra days at the end of your trip in case of flight delays,
Rights and Responsibilities:
In committing to booking a trip with us, you are doing so understanding the activity involves increased risks due to effects of increased altitude, intensity level of physical activities performed as well as the possibility of extreme weather conditions occurring. Ultimately, you need to be mindful that you are engaging in a potentially dangerous pursuit and to do so accepting the risk. Having said that, we take your safety very seriously and will do everything in our power to ensure you can enjoy your Himalayan adventure to the maximum. Field staff will provide you with daily briefings of weather conditions and an outline of the itinerary. They are responsible for advising you of ways to keep you safe and healthy on trek. It is the client’s responsibility to follow the field staff’s direction and advise the field staff immediately of any changes in their health status so that the field staff can promptly respond with first aid or take you to a health post to be examined by a doctor. Acute Mountain Sickness is a very real and dangerous medical condition and it is important for clients to help field staff identify the symptoms to reduce further complications by descending to a lower altitude and seeking medical assistance.Our policy is to direct clients to drink a minimum of ? each day and to advise a responsible approach to walking at high altitude involving adequate rest and acclimatisation time as precautions against AMS. Furthermore, when signing the booking contract with us we will go through the agreed inclusions and exclusions of the trip to ensure that both parties are making a transparent transaction. It is our policy to honour the contract that we have entered and to make necessary changes to itinerary due to factors beyond our control only in consultation with the client. As mentioned previously in risks and liabilities, this may result in the client being required to cover extra expenses arising from the change, but these would only be in the case of factors beyond the normal conditions expected. As the client, you have the right to expect an excellent service from our staff.
